Investments

Invests in China.
At least till mid of 2008. Till the Beijing Olympics is over. The BO starts in Auguest if I am not wrong. That is where all the hype is in. But I am predicitng it will only be some what of a not so major correction, China equities will still go up.

So many views are looking at China going up for the next 10 years. A major market with tons of liquidity floating. The yuan is rising like no tomorrow. I read in Straits Times last week, some investment guru is selling all his USD and buying into the Yuan because he is looking at yuan to quadraple in the next 10 years.

Invests in emerging markets
Middle East, Eastern Europe, China, India and whatever unknown countries. New money, new consumption, newexposure to the world.

Buy into commodities
Look at the oil and gold prices. Today's headlines, Oil is nearing the US$100 per barrel, now at $98.63. http://cafim.sssup.it/~giulio/other/oil_price/oilprice.txt

Look here for Gold prices. http://www.usagold.com/reference/prices/history.html

It's ridiculous. But it will get more ridiculous as more people invests in commodities.

I vow to keep all my wedding gold for a while!!!

GET OUT OF
US of A! The dollar is expected to drop to $1.2 by 2013. GASP! In 6 years time, we can go to US for cheap holidays. LADIES, can buy all the COACH stuff! What can I say? US is just reaching the 10 year life cycle of a downturn. The Sub Prime news is not over, and people are seriously bored of it. I know I am. I keep repeating this story to clients. YAWN...

Watching Bloomberg now. Time 10.53am
Some Nikkei Citigroup Strategist saying something that don't know if the Sub prime issues will lead US into recession. Aiyo. Of cos will go into recession lah. Stop trying to soften the issue lah. I know you need to be not so glummy abt US cos it may cause panic.

Overweight, Marine transportation, automakers , machinery and metals? ok that's by the citigroup guy ok not me.

Ok he is saying that to get exposed to the emerging markets as well.

MY GOODNESS!
What am I doing here?
It's a holiday today. Depavali! And here I am babbling about what I think about the economy? Siao ah!

Byeeeeeeeeeeee.......
