Why is it that people can outright try to steal your clients?

Even when you even think they are your friends and are beginning to give them the benefit of the doubt?

And then you wished you had not been so nice to them before. Now all you want to do is to make them as uncomfortable as possible.

I took leave today, slept late and when I heard keys jiggling outside the door, I scurried to the door and opened it. And I found bubi with a BOX!!! It's a cake, it's a cake, it's a cake!

In our 6 years today, this is he first time he bought me a cake. Sweet, nice warm feeling swirl inside of me :)

Met one of my clients today.

Excused myself 3 times during the appointment. Why?

I ran out of the meeting room to cough. You know the cough cough cough until you cry kind!!!

At the end of the session when clients leave, usually part of the ethics is to shake hands right?

I look at my client and said, you wouldn't want to shake my hand, he agreed.

That's it, no more meeting any clients till i get well!

Have to get well

I am getting better. Have taken my seond dose of medicine today.
Hopefully by tomorrow, I will be at least 80% functioning.

I have to crawl to work tmr no matter what. I guess that's the "charm" of the job. One can never leave the job for too long. On'e heart is always wondering what is happening.

My mobile is ringing off the hook. Really afraid to pick up the phone. Pick up the phone will kena work and scolding one.

The cough is getting worse. It's getting to the point that I cough till I vomit and tears stream down my face. The feeling is real bad. I feel like I am coughing my throat out. My stomach is already empty but yet I puke some sort of juice out.

Still Sick

Feeling worse than before. Phlegm flooding my lungs and my throat is as dry as the Sahara desert. Will be going to the clinic again, not the one at The Cannery.

Here I am sitting watching "The Joy Luck Club".

Four older women, all Chinese immigrants living in San Fransico, meet regularly to play mah-jong, eat, and tell stories. Each of these women have adult Chinese-American daughters. The film reveals the hidden pasts of the older women and explores cultural conflict and the relationships between mothers and daughters.

What's up with Chinese mothers anyway? Always having such high expectations of their children. I feel like part of the film already. There are those times when nothing you can do to make your mother happy. And mothers do not know how much power and control they have over you. Whether if it was a nod, a smile or any twitch on their face. It was enough tochange your entire mood for the day. And yet you continue to please her.

BUT, mothers continue to love us while they torture us. They want the best interest for us. It's just that they do not know how to express themselves. Sometimes mothers are like babies. Babies can only cry when they need something or show their displeasure. Mothers scrowl and scream when they want to express themselves.

I do not know why I am writing all these. I have not seen my mother for 6 months! I do miss her you know. But yet I know when we are together, our opinions will surely clash.

The Joy Luck Club actually talks about self worth, which in my opinion is the most important for a woman. Self worth, not measued by which man she is with, not measured by what kind of family she is born into, not measured by how others judged her, not measured by her career.

Self worth, something that no matter what, she can go ahead and do what she really wants and not feel bad about it. Something that no matter how others put her down, she is able to think out of the box and create a btter situation for herself.

Remember when something unpleasant happens to you, tell yourself, it could have been worse.

It really could have been worse, so stop whining and give yourself a pat on your back for the job well done. Suck it up and look at alternatives.

Sick again

Sorethroat since Wednesday. Saw the good ole doctor on Thursday. Friday had MC. Went to work. Sigh, shouldn't have.

A long flow of clients just decided to drop by to meet me. Happy to see them actually. But was coughing non stop. Sorry folks if you guys have been infected by now.

Enjoyed a seafood dinner at "No signboard" followed by another round of Karaoke last night with my colleagues. I seriously love my colleagues, again I have I have to stress those I love are not too many.

After last night's dinner, we all know who are not welcomed. Late comers should really not even attempt to drop by. We had them pay for food that they didn't even get to touch. I guess they were feeling pretty akward beause they didn't talk much either. Plus they never even made it for the sing-a-long.

I actually felt sorry for them.

So anyway, goodnews is PAYBACK's A BITCH!

Invests in China.
At least till mid of 2008. Till the Beijing Olympics is over. The BO starts in Auguest if I am not wrong. That is where all the hype is in. But I am predicitng it will only be some what of a not so major correction, China equities will still go up.

So many views are looking at China going up for the next 10 years. A major market with tons of liquidity floating. The yuan is rising like no tomorrow. I read in Straits Times last week, some investment guru is selling all his USD and buying into the Yuan because he is looking at yuan to quadraple in the next 10 years.

Invests in emerging markets
Middle East, Eastern Europe, China, India and whatever unknown countries. New money, new consumption, newexposure to the world.

Buy into commodities

Ok he is saying that to get exposed to the emerging markets as well.
